NotSpursFan writes "Hi there, I work as a producer for a satellite sports channel called ESPN Classic - you may have caught us at some stage as we broadcast old Premier League & Div 1 games, among which there is a fair few Tottenham games. The reason for this mail is that we're continuing to air our series called 'Happy Endings' where we show some of the best, or most satisfying, games for a variety of club. This is the 3rd instalment of the Tottenham programmes. I'm responsible for making these shows and I'm hoping that instead of telling the stories of these games through the eyes of the players and officials we can use fans (interviews on camera) to tell viewers what the games were all about and what they meant to them personally. Hopefully a slightly different angle anyway... I'm looking for interesting and knowledgeable people who could get across the events of a game/season in an entertaining way - my only hope being that they attended a large proportion of the games that we're broadcasting. The games are: 21/11/1981, Div 1 - TOTTENHAM V MAN UNITED - (3 – 1)
6/3/1982, FA CUP 6TH ROUND CHELSEA V TOTTENHAM - (2 – 3)
1982, FA Cup Final Tottenham v QPR - (1 - 1)
1982, FA Cup Final Replay Tottenham v QPR - (1 - 0)
25/9/1982, Div 1 - TOTTENHAM V NOTTINGHAM FOREST - (4 - 1) Unfortunately I won't be able to offer any money, but I'd gladly make you some DVDs when I've finished the programme. I'm looking to do the interviews (in London) sometime early January. I'm happy to travel to your work/home/pub. If you, or anyone you know, are interested please feel free to get in touch via email: othurgood@espnclassic.com Thank you very much for your time. Hopefully I will hear from you soon. Oliver Thurgood
