Transfer rumours: Giles Barnes - I believe we need him.

Giles Barnes to Spurs?

First of all do not get me wrong...lol.
As most of the football fans i love football manager games, in my case Fifa Manager 2008.
So , in this game there are just a few players who can reach 99 of 100 points.
Yes , he is one of them , i hope he has Spurs future , don't forget where Huddlestone came from...

Now on reality , he is the leader of Derby County , no question about that , and guess what we looking for?
We looking for LEADERS like Deadly Ledly King !
Well , maybe we need one or two world class players plus Barnes , but i hope he is enough for Januaru transfer period , after i watched the last few games of Spurs.

Now more info abour our (future) player - Giles Barnes.

(born 5 August 1988 in Barking, England) is an English football midfielder. He signed for Derby County in August 2005 as a trainee and became a regular first-team choice in midfield. His uncle is Bobby Barnes, the former West Ham player.

Football career

Barnes made his debut late in the 2005–06 season, whilst Derby were under the guide of Terry Westley. He was in and out of the side before scoring his first goal, a fine strike against Watford.

During pre-season, only weeks before the beginning of the 2006–07 season, Barnes signed a four-year extension to his current contract, in order to allay the fears of some Rams fans that he may leave the club. In the 2006–07 season he became a regular in the side. In two weeks he scored four goals: a volley away at Cardiff City in the 92nd minute to equalise, four days later he scored a brace to earn a win at Pride Park against Barnsley and three days after that, he got the winner at home against West Bromwich Albion.

After coming on as a substitute during the 2007 Football League Championship Playoff Final versus West Bromwich Albion and getting an assist, he was found to have broken his foot, and did not return to first team football until he made his first Premier League appearance in the 2007–08 season season on 22 September 2007 with a substitute appearance against Arsenal in the 75th minute.

He is being pursued by West Ham United manager Alan Curbishley for a possible January 2008 transfer with a fee of £5 million reportedly agreed for the 19 year old; reports also suggest he will sign for the club on 1 January 2008.

Honours

  • He was awarded the Football League Championship Player Of The Month award for March in the 2006–07 season
He was named by Derby County as the Young Player of the Year for the 2006–07 season.

Transfer rumours: Robinho to Spurs?
Tottenham Hotspur Football Club
Tottenham Hotspur Football Club
Real superstar linked with move
Tottenham are ready to launch a bid to land Real Madrid winger Robinho after announcing record profits earlier in the week.
Spurs boss Martin Jol is keen on the Brazilian star and a swoop could be on the cards after the Spanish giants hinted they might be prepared to sell the player in the January transfer window.

Robinho joined Real from Santos in 2005 and helped them to the La Liga title last season when breaking Barcelona's stranglehold, but they need to fund signings of their own and have to sell players first.

The 23 year-old is one of the players who could be offloaded, but Spurs would face plenty of competition for his services with Italian giants Juventus and Inter Milan also interested in him.

The signing would be a massive coup for the club but they will have to be back pushing in and around the top four if Robinho is to even consider a move to White Hart Lane. http://www.eatsleepsport.com/articles/640349.html
